Alain Würsching is a professional chef sommelier from France who has a passion for writing, teaching and consulting about wine.
Alain’s love and interest in wine started in 1970 while he was undertaking his professional training in Troyes, in the Champagne region of France.
After successfully completing his training Alain embarked on a journey that has taken him to many different countries and cultures including England, Bermuda, Africa, France and, most recently, Turkey where he currently resides in Istanbul.
Along the way Alain has worked at many Michelin starred and luxury restaurants as Chef Sommelier and has over 40 years of experience in the catering and wine industry. Today he is applying this experience and skill as a wine consultant, event & tour organiser and writer through his own ‘Wine World’ business.
Alain holds a Brevet Professional Diploma in Catering from the Grenoble Academia in France, and a Professional Diploma in Technico-Commercial Wines and Spirits from the Wine University in Drôme, France.
